Privacy Policy
What our apps do with your data, in plain words — first for all apps, then app by app.
Draft — requires review by a lawyer. This text describes how our apps work today, but it has not yet been checked by a lawyer. Until then, treat it as a plain-language description rather than a final legal document.

1. Who we are
pupsapps is a small independent studio. Our apps are published on the App Store under the developer name Alex Pupko. This policy covers our iPhone apps — tenk, Subvibe and River Ruler — and the website pupsaps.com.

2. The short version
- Our apps don’t have accounts. We never ask for your name, email or phone number inside the apps.
- What you create or measure — step history, videos and subtitles, river measurements — is processed and stored on your iPhone.
- We collect pseudonymous usage analytics (Google Firebase) to understand which features are used. It never includes your health data, videos, audio, subtitles, search text or coordinates.
- Payments go through Apple. We never see your card details.
- We don’t sell personal data.

4. Analytics
All our apps use Google Firebase Analytics. Google processes this data on our behalf. The app-instance ID is a random identifier created for your installation; it is reset when you delete the app. We look at analytics in aggregate and do not try to identify individual users. 5. Ad measurement: Meta SDK and AppsFlyer
We advertise our apps on Facebook and Instagram. To learn which ads lead to installs and purchases, an app may include the Meta (Facebook) SDK and/or AppsFlyer. Each app section below says whether the current version includes them.
When they are included, these services may receive: install and app-open events, in-app purchase events (product and price, not payment details), device model, iOS version and IP address. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is shared only if you tap “Allow” in the iOS “Allow app to track” prompt. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, iOS doesn’t give the app the IDFA and we don’t try to work around that.
You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Their policies: Meta, AppsFlyer.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment details under its own privacy policy; we only learn that a purchase happened. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. More in Support.
7. Where data is stored and for how long
- On your device: app content and settings, until you delete them or the app.
- Firebase Analytics: stored on Google’s servers, which may be outside your country, for the retention period set in our Firebase project.
- Emails to us: kept for as long as needed to answer and follow up, then deleted.
8. Your choices, rights and data deletion
- Turn off app permissions (Health, Photos, Location) at any time in iOS Settings.
- Deleting an app removes its local data and resets its analytics identifier.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to processing.
To request deletion, email support@pupsaps.com with the subject “Delete my data” and the name of the app. Because we don’t have accounts, we may ask for details that help us find the records (for example, the approximate install date). We aim to reply within 30 days.
9. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we’ll delete it.
10. This website
pupsaps.com is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. The site sets no cookies of its own.
To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies and doesn’t identify visitors: we see totals such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
If you arrive from one of our ads, the campaign name from the link (for example “facebook_summer”) is attached to the App Store button. Apple then shows us, in aggregate, how many installs that campaign brought. No personal data is included. If we add the Meta Pixel to measure our ads, we will update this section first.
11. Changes and contact
If we change how data is handled, we update this page and the date at the top. Contact: support@pupsaps.com.
tenk
- Apple Health: with your permission, tenk reads step count and walking/running distance to show daily progress, streaks, history and widgets. This data is processed on your iPhone and in the app’s widget container only. It is never sent to us, to analytics or to advertisers.
- Analytics: Firebase events such as app open, goal reached, streak update and return on day 2 or 7, plus the app’s country code. No health data.
- Purchases: tenk Premium via the App Store.
- Ad measurement: Meta SDK — not included in the current version. AppsFlyer — not included in the current version.
- Your control: revoke Health access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → tenk. Deleting tenk removes its local data; your steps remain in Apple Health.
Subvibe
- Videos: with your permission, Subvibe reads the videos you pick from Photos and saves exported videos back to Photos. Video files are processed on your iPhone and are never uploaded.
- Audio and speech recognition: subtitles are generated from the video’s audio track. In on-device mode the audio is processed on your iPhone and never leaves it; the speech model is downloaded once from a public model host (Hugging Face). If you use cloud recognition, the audio track (not the video) is sent to a speech-recognition service to get the text.
- Translation: runs on the device. Subtitles and projects are stored locally.
- Analytics: Firebase events such as screens opened, onboarding progress and subscription events. No videos, audio or subtitles.
- Purchases: Subvibe Pro via the App Store.
- Ad measurement: Meta SDK — not included in the current version. AppsFlyer — not included in the current version.
- Your control: delete downloaded models in the app’s settings; deleting Subvibe removes all its local data.
River Ruler
- Location: optional, “While Using the App” only, to show you on the map. Your location is used on the device and is not sent to us or to analytics. The app works without it.
- Map and river data: to draw the map and measure rivers, the app requests data from OpenStreetMap (Overpass API), OpenFreeMap, Wikidata, Apple MapKit and Open-Meteo. These requests contain the coordinates of the map area or of your pins, with no name or identifier attached.
- Analytics: Firebase events such as measurement completed, river search performed and purchase screen shown. Never your search text, river names, pin coordinates or route.
- Purchases: a one-time “Unlock forever” purchase via the App Store.
- Ad measurement: Meta SDK — not included in the current version. AppsFlyer — not included in the current version.
- Your control: measurement history is stored only on your iPhone; deleting the app removes it.
